Huge thanks to Jonathan Remington who did a pretty sweet vid that sums our Moab trip up:
It was a little bit of a throwback of what the USU college life was in 2009
Floating down the river is a must…just don't expect clear water :/
It was crazy being in Moab, everyone around us was from out of the country. It just made me realize how easy it is to not take advantage of our local surroundings. I love the story that Ryan once told me (sorry that I am probably butchering it Ryan). There were two business men sitting next to each other on a plane. One asked the other where he was from and told him that he was from NYC. The man responds, "I love New York City, my favorite site was seeing the Statue of Liberty." I man from New York admitted that he had never visited the Statue of Liberty. Then he discovered that the other man was from Arizona. He says, "I have been to the Grand Canyon and absolutely loved it." The man from Arizona then admits that he sadly had never been to the Grand Canyon.
We are all guilty of this. Example: My husband is from Utah but had never been to Moab.
In conclusion, take advantage of what is around you and be grateful for your backyard! There is always something to do or see and might as well see the things that are easy to get to first.
Moab high: everything going smoothly… not to say that it does not happen often, but I had to be very convincing that this trip was going to be a good time. It was all of our first time there so everyone was a little hesitant. (including myself who was the one who planned it).
Moab low : When Ryan did a back flip into the river with is brand new sun glasses on. That water is so dirty that those bad boys did not stand a chance of being found.
Ryan's Rant-
Moab was sweet, but next time we are definitely bringing mountain bikes.
